Need To Know

This walk is twice as long as the other two and can take some time to complete. The Moor can get very cold in bad weather so I’d wait for a good day, and when one doesn’t come wrap up warm. Also: there may be cows.

Some of the pieces contain language that parents may consider unsuitable for young children. I would advise listening through the recording before setting off on a carefree family day out.

The walk is designed to make transport as simple as possible: it begins and ends at Haymarket Metro station.

The walk is just less than four miles in total and the recordings amount to around 1 hour and 45 minutes.

You can browse the photos on this website and they are embedded in the audio walks.

Project Fifty

I'm Luke McGrath and I made a series of guided audio walks around Newcastle upon Tyne.

There are three walks and each one has a unique soundtrack of original fiction inspired by the city
